What is IPL Hair Removal?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Hair Removal guarantees permanent hair reduction for long term silky, smooth skin, which is great news for those of you tired of waxing and shaving.  IPL Hair Removal is a safe and effective permanent hair reduction procedure.  IPL treatment uses specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed into the melanin within your hair follicles, which then heats the follicles, breaking them down and preventing the hair from growing back.  Almost any area of the body can be treated including the under arms, legs, chin, upper lip, back, neck, g-string and Brazilian.  A minimum course of 6 treatments is recommended spaced at least 2 weeks apart depending on the area being treated.

What is IPL Photo Rejuvenation?

IPL Photo Rejuvenation is designed to target certain skin conditions including pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin, broken capillaries, redness, and rosacea.  IPL uses light to absorb melanin (the dark pigment in your hair and skin) and haemoglobin (the red colour in your blood vessels).  The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood, when treating vascular lesions, or the melanin when treating pigmented lesions damaging them.  The body's natural processes then remove the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance.  A minimum course of 4 treatments is recommended spaced approximately 4 weeks apart.
